Terms of service

DIY Refresh – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through DIY Refresh. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions together with our Returns & Refunds Policy and Shipping Policy.

1. About DIY Refresh

DIY Refresh supplies cabinet doors, panels, accessories and related products for kitchens, bedrooms, wardrobes and fitted furniture.

Trading name: DIY Refresh
Email: sales@diyrefresh.com
WhatsApp: 07396 781725

2. Product Information

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, colours and prices are accurate.

Images are provided to help illustrate products. Colours and finishes may appear different depending on screen settings, lighting conditions and normal manufacturing tolerances.

Where colour matching is important, we recommend ordering a colour sample before placing your main order.

3. Customer Measurements and Specifications

You are responsible for checking that all information supplied with your order is correct, including:

  • height and width
  • quantities
  • colour
  • finish
  • door style
  • hinge requirements
  • glazing selections
  • other product specifications

Please measure the door or panel itself, not the cabinet opening, unless our measuring instructions specifically state otherwise.

Where a product has been supplied correctly according to the measurements or specifications selected or provided by you, an incorrect customer measurement or selection is not considered a product fault.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

4. Orders and Acceptance

Submitting an order does not automatically mean that we have accepted it.

Your order is accepted once we have confirmed it and, where applicable, submitted it for manufacture or fulfilment.

We may contact you before acceptance if we identify:

  • an obvious pricing error
  • incomplete or inconsistent order information
  • an unavailable product or option
  • suspected fraudulent activity
  • another issue preventing us from fulfilling the order

If we cannot accept an order, we will notify you and refund any amount already paid for that order.

5. Minimum Order

A £100 minimum order value applies to qualifying orders.

Any applicable minimum-order requirement will be shown on our website or during checkout.

6. Prices and Payment

Prices are displayed in GBP.

Payment is normally taken at the time the order is placed.

Prices may change for future orders. Once an order has been accepted, we will not increase the confirmed price, except where an obvious pricing error has occurred and we contact you before manufacture or fulfilment begins.

Promotional discounts apply only in accordance with the terms of the relevant promotion and cannot normally be applied retrospectively.

7. Doors, Panels and Custom Products

Many DIY Refresh doors, panels and components are manufactured after an order is placed.

Where you select a product from the standard sizes, colours, finishes and specifications offered by DIY Refresh, statutory cancellation rights will apply where required by law.

Some products may instead be manufactured specifically to a customer's individual or non-standard specification, for example where a special size, finish or other specification has been requested outside our standard options.

Products genuinely made to your individual specification or clearly personalised may not qualify for statutory change-of-mind cancellation rights.

Please check all measurements and specifications carefully before confirming a custom or non-standard order.

If you need to amend or cancel such an order, contact DIY Refresh immediately. If manufacture has not progressed, we will check whether the order can still be changed or cancelled, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Nothing in this section affects your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied.

This distinction is important because UK guidance states that manufacturing an item following an order does not by itself necessarily make it bespoke; genuinely individual specifications are treated differently from selections made from a standard range.

8. Standard Products and Accessories

Products that qualify for statutory distance-selling cancellation rights may normally be cancelled within 14 days after receiving the goods, followed by a further 14 days in which to return them.

Different rules may apply to goods genuinely made to an individual specification or clearly personalised.

Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for full information about cancellations, returns and refunds.

9. Delivery

Delivery times shown on our website are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.

Current typical lead times are:

  • Standard door orders: approximately 10–14 working days
  • Special & Feature Doors: may take longer because of glazing, frame details or specialist manufacture
  • Aluminium Doors: usually available within a few working days, subject to stock and specification

Production and delivery times can vary depending on product specification, supplier availability and delivery area.

We will keep customers informed where we become aware of a significant delay.

Please see our Shipping Policy for full delivery information.

10. Checking Your Delivery

Please inspect your goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Visible damage, missing items or incorrectly supplied goods should be reported to DIY Refresh as soon as possible and preferably within 5 days of delivery.

Reporting promptly helps us raise claims with the relevant manufacturer, supplier or delivery company.

For visible transport damage or shortages, contacting us by 5pm on the next working day is particularly helpful because some suppliers and carriers have short reporting deadlines.

Failure to report within these requested times does not remove any statutory rights you may have.

If an item appears damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us before fitting or altering it. Where reasonably possible, do not fit, drill, cut, paint or otherwise alter the item before we have had an opportunity to investigate.

11. Faulty or Incorrect Goods

Goods supplied to consumers must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. These statutory rights cannot be excluded by these Terms & Conditions.

If you believe a product is faulty or incorrectly supplied, please contact DIY Refresh with:

  • your order number
  • a description of the problem
  • clear photographs of the product
  • photographs of the packaging where relevant

We may need to liaise with the relevant manufacturer or supplier and may request additional photographs or inspection of the product.

Where you purchased the goods from DIY Refresh, your consumer contract remains with DIY Refresh.

12. Six-Year Manufacturer's Warranty

Qualifying products are supplied with a 6-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of delivery.

If you believe a manufacturing defect has developed during the warranty period, contact DIY Refresh with your order details, a description of the issue and photographs.

We will liaise with the appropriate manufacturer or supplier where necessary and keep you informed.

The manufacturer's warranty is in addition to, and does not replace, your statutory consumer rights.

13. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful or limits any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

DIY Refresh is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into or losses that were not caused by our breach.

Nothing in these Terms excludes our legal responsibility for faulty or misdescribed goods or any other responsibility that consumer law does not permit us to exclude. Consumer contract terms that improperly restrict responsibility for faulty or misdescribed goods may be unenforceable.

14. Intellectual Property

The DIY Refresh name, branding, website content, graphics, product copy and original designs belong to DIY Refresh or are used with permission from the relevant rights holder.

Content must not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without permission from the relevant rights holder.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

Updated Terms will apply to orders placed after the revised Terms are published.

Orders already accepted will remain subject to the Terms in force when the order was accepted, unless a change is required by law.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you retain any mandatory consumer protections available to you under applicable law.

17. Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

For further information about cancellations, returns, refunds and delivery, please see our Returns & Refunds Policy and Shipping Policy.
